The 2-Zone independently adjusts the backrest and footrest. It reclines your back while raising your legs into a comfortable zero-gravity-style position — ideal for relaxing, watching TV, and sleeping.

The 5-Zone does everything the 2-Zone does and adds a full seat-tilt motor that rotates the entire seat. This creates true, NASA-inspired zero gravity that cradles your hips and neutralizes pressure on your lower back and joints — the better choice if your main goal is maximum pressure relief or you deal with back, hip, or circulation issues.

If you're choosing between them, the simplest way to think about it: pick the 2-Zone for everyday comfort and sleeping, and the 5-Zone if deep pressure relief is the priority.

Zero gravity (also called neutral body posture) is a position that evenly distributes pressure across the body. By elevating the legs, the Perfect Sleep Chair relieves pressure on the spine, heart, and lungs — making it one of the most relaxing positions available.

When activated by the hand control, the Perfect Sleep Chair's heat targets the lower-back region to warm your core, soothe stiff muscles, and relieve spinal pressure. The zoned massage uses nodes built into the backrest and leg/footrest, so you can focus vibration therapy on your upper body or shift it to your calves and lower limbs to promote circulation.

Yes. The Perfect Sleep Chair is designed for one person at a time, with a maximum weight capacity of 375 lbs and a recommended user height up to 6'5".

The Perfect Sleep Chair measures 39" wide and 38.5" deep when upright, and extends to 78" long when fully reclined. You'll need at least 30.5" of clearance behind the chair to allow it to fully recline without hitting the wall. Before ordering, we recommend measuring your space to confirm you have enough room both behind the chair (for the recline) and in front (for the footrest to extend). Yes. The Perfect Sleep Chair includes a battery backup system so you're never stuck reclined during a power outage. The 2-Zone model uses two 9-volt batteries, and the 5-Zone model uses a built-in lithium-ion battery — both safely return the chair to an upright position when needed. We recommend checking your batteries periodically (for the 2-Zone) or keeping your chair plugged in (for the 5-Zone) so the backup is ready when you need it.

Because each Perfect Sleep Chair is built to order, delivery takes approximately 3–4 weeks, and often arrives sooner depending on your location.

Every chair is delivered by White Glove Delivery — a flat $450 added at checkout (not included in the chair's price). The team coordinates a delivery time with you, brings the chair into your home, unpacks it, places it where you want it, and hauls away all the packaging, so there's nothing for you to lift or assemble.

Please note: you're responsible for removing any existing furniture you're replacing, and for having a clear path and a spot ready for the delivery crew.

Warranty coverage depends on your model:

The 2-Zone is covered by a three-year parts warranty on the frame, lift mechanism, recline mechanism, and electrical parts, with one year of labor.

The 5-Zone carries a lifetime warranty on the frame, lift mechanism, and recline mechanism (three years of subsidized labor), plus three years on electrical parts. Electrical coverage then continues on a prorated basis through year seven.

In all cases, warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser from the date of purchase. Full warranty terms, including labor details and proration, are available on our warranty page tab.

Journey does not accept Medicare or process insurance claims of any kind. However, most Journey products are eligible for reimbursement through your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) — if you'd like to use those funds, we're happy to provide a receipt for your records.
