At Journey Health & Lifestyle®, we respect your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains the type of information we may obtain from individuals who visit our website or use our applications (such as chat available through our site). We understand that the protection of consumer privacy is an important public concern. Accordingly, we have adopted this Privacy Statement to serve as the foundation for our internal privacy policies and procedures. It is our commitment to providing meaningful privacy protection for our customers.

Email Marketing

By supplying us with your email address, you will receive important information such as order confirmation notices, exclusive offers available only through email, and product updates. If you do wish to opt out of any of our our marketing communication emails, you can unsubscribe from all future emails here, You may also “unsubscribe” by following the instructions included in our promotional emails, contact one of our customer service representatives or email us at CS@shopjourney.com.  Please note that removal of user information from our database or “opting out” will not stop marketing or advertising content that is generated for distribution or is otherwise queued for transmission to you prior to the time when we can implement your request. If you unsubscribe from marketing communications, you may continue to receive transactional communications, such as email notifications about your order status, or other administrative information. Information will remain in our database but will be marked as inactive, so you do not receive marketing materials from us. 

Information security

We maintain technical and organizational safeguards to protect the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information against unauthorized access or disclosure, accidental loss, alteration or destruction.  The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the website. 

Information we may obtain

Personal information that can directly or indirectly identify you may include, for example: 

Contact details: Name, email, phone number, mailing address, zip code; 

Company and employment data: your employment with and role within a company, including information related to such company such as company name, size, location, as well as publicly available company information and activity; 

Device information: Information related to a device interacting with Journey products, services, and websites including IP address, browser, device type, operating system, the presence or use of “apps”, screen resolution, preferred language; 

Interactions with Journey Health & Lifestyle products: Information related to the use of Journey Health & Lifestyle products, such as products and services purchased, subscriptions, features used or platform preferences. 

Post comments: Or other content in publicly available forums on our products (e.g. product reviews, Q&A forum).

Contest entries, quizzes, or other promotions you may be asked to fill out that are necessary to fulfill the promotion.

Information we obtain from other sources. We may receive information about you from other sources to, for example, help us  improve the quality of our products,  prevent or detect fraud and support our marketing and analytics. Such sources may include information collected from payment processors, data brokers, third-party ad technology companies, sub-processors and shipping carriers. We may use this information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Information obtained by automated means. We may use technology to automatically obtain other information about you and your devices when you visit our site, or view advertisements online. For more information see "Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising" section of this privacy policy. This information helps our site work correctly and supports our marketing and analytical efforts. This information includes, but is not limited to device type, device settings, internet browser information, IP address, mobile device identifiers, software operation, phone model, geolocation data, time and length of your stay on our Site, and referring websites, specific pages accessed, and other actions you take on our site. Additionally, chat, phone and other interactions with our customer service team may be recorded.

    We may use your information to provide you with transactional assistance, such as fulfilling your order, processing your payments, providing you with customer service and technical support including through the automated and live chat features on our Site  and maintaining transcripts of chat communications, offering new products and ensuring the proper delivery of the products you order from us.

    We may use your information to make improvements to our products or to customize your experience with us and provide you with a consistent experience across the devices you use.

    Reviewing Site trends and customer interests. We may also use your information to analyze the way you use our Site and Apps and understand your interests, including by combining information we receive from you and your devices with other information about you that we receive from other sources.

We may send you communications about promotions or offers via direct mail, email, text messaging or other electronic channels, including ads on Social Media Services. We may use information, including information collected across different online services and from the various devices you may use, for marketing and analytics purposes and to deliver marketing communications based on your behavior and interests.

    Cookies and Interest-Based Advertising

    We and third-party ad technology providers may use cookies to learn about the ads you see and interact with, and other actions you take on our site. This allows us to provide you with more useful and relevant ads on third-party websites, apps and online services. Interest-based ads, also referred to as personalized or targeted ads, are displayed to you based on information collected about your online activities, such as when you browse or purchase a product on our Site or Apps, or visit third-party websites, apps or online services. In providing interest-based ads, we follow the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising developed by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) (a coalition of marketing and online advertising organizations). 

    Third-party ad technology companies may help us display content tailored to your interests and serve interest-based advertising on our behalf. Additionally, some third-party ad technology companies may provide us with information about you (such as demographic information) from offline and online sources, which we may use to provide you with more relevant and useful advertising.

    "Do not solicit" option

    We recognize that some of our customers do not want to be solicited for offers and promotions from us. Accordingly, we provide our customers the option to have their names and addresses removed from our mail and/or telephone solicitation lists. We have procedures that assure a consumer’s name, address and telephone number are removed from our marketing lists. 

    Customers who do not want us to contact them can let us know by unchecking the “marketing offers” box during account creation or checkout; additionally you can unsubscribe from all future emails here. Customers who do not want us to share their info with third party marketing partners can let us know by filling out this form and submitting it.

    Maintaining customer privacy with our business partners

    We strive to ensure that the companies we use as our business partners support our commitment to privacy protection in their handling of personal data about our customers. 

    Employee education

    We provide training to our employees regarding their responsibilities under this Privacy Statement, and we expect them to do their part in protecting our customers’ privacy. We also conduct regular internal audits to support our commitment. 

    California Privacy Rights

    This section applies solely to California consumers and addresses Personal Information we collect online and offline.  If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of your Personal Information.  This section uses certain terms that have the meaning given to them in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and its implementing regulations (the “CCPA”). To the extent provided for by the CCPA and subject to applicable exceptions and exclusions, California residents have the following privacy rights in relation to the Personal Information we collect:

    Your right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we disclose to you the personal information  we have collected during the past 12 months and how we have used and disclosed that personal information.

    Your right to request that we delete certain personal information we have collected from you.

    Your right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we have collected from you.

    Your Right to Non-Discrimination. We do not discriminate against any California resident for exercising their privacy rights including no denying services, charging different prices, or providing a lower quality of service.

    We want our customers to know about our commitment to providing privacy protection. Therefore, this Privacy Statement is available upon request to customers, investors, employees, governmental authorities and members of the general public.

    If you have any questions or concerns, including requests to access, correct, or remove your Personal Information, please send an email to CS@shopjourney.com.  We will attempt to answer all requests to correct or delete any data so long as we are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. 

    In addition, to protect your privacy, we may require you to prove your identity before granting access to, or agreeing to update, correct or delete your Personal Information and we will only implement requests with respect to personal information about you (not anyone else).
