Purchasing Options: Bread Pay and HSA/FSA

It’s no exaggeration to say that the right mobility device can change your life. We see it happen every day at Journey Health & Lifestyle. Customers call us after a purchase to tell us how much they love their new Zoomer or UPWalker because independence is priceless.

We also know that paying for a mobility solution all at once can be a challenge. That’s why we offer two easy payment options to make paying for your new mobility product simple and hassle-free.

Maintain your independence and quality of life through these accessible financial options. Bread Pay® allows you to buy now and pay over time. If you have HSA or FSA funds, you can use those to pay for eligible products. Keep reading to find out more about these financing options.

What is Bread Pay?

Bread Pay is an option that allows you to purchase your item now and pay for it over time. With Bread Pay, you can split your purchase into manageable installments:

  • Pay over time with 0% APR for qualifying purchases.
  • Choose terms that fit your budget.
  • Get a quick decision without affecting your credit score.

This flexible option allows you to select a payment plan that works for you with no hidden fees, prepayment penalties, or surprises. It’s convenient to use with an easy application process right at checkout.

How It Works

  1. Select Bread Pay at checkout.
  2. Fill out a quick application.
  3. Get an instant decision without impacting your credit score.
  4. Complete your purchase and enjoy your items!

Older adults looking to spread out the cost of larger purchases can benefit from this option, as can caregivers managing household budgets. Whether you’re purchasing a mobility aid, home safety equipment, or other essential items, Bread Pay provides flexibility to help you manage your budget effectively.

Subject to approval of credit application. Bread Pay® loans are made by Comenity Capital Bank, a Bread Financial® company.

What are HSA/FSA Accounts?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are pre-tax savings tools for medical expenses. These programs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare expenses, such as a mobility aid, prescriptions, and certain elder care services.

We’ve partnered with Sika to allow you to use HSA or FSA funds to purchase eligible products. Most Journey power mobility, manual mobility, and bath safety products are pre-approved for HSA/FSA. These products have a badge on their product pages that says “HSA|FSA Accepted.”

With Sika, you pay instantly at checkout with no reimbursement hassles. Simply choose the Sika HSA/FSA payment option and click “Pay Now” to be redirected to Sika to securely complete your purchase. You’ll receive an electronic receipt from Sika within your order confirmation email. Keep this documentation for tax purposes.

Do you have an HSA or FSA account? If you’re not sure, check with your employer or insurance company. If you’re a caregiver, you can use HSA or FSA funds for an adult dependent’s medical expenses if they qualify as a tax dependent.

Note that while certain products are eligible for purchase with your HSA/FSA funds if they treat, cure, prevent, diagnose, or alleviate a medical need, “dual-eligible” products can be recommended by a healthcare provider based on your individual needs. Talk to your provider if you’re interested in purchasing an item that isn’t pre-approved for HSA/FSA funds.
